679,450. Refrigerators. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. March 5, 1951 [March 25, 1950], No. 5259/51. Class 29 A conduit 7 of a heat transfer apparatus is mounted on the surface, e.g. the outside of the wall 6 of a refrigerator food storage compartment, by an adhesive flexible strip 10 comprising a layer 11 of a material of high heat conductivity e.g. copper or aluminium foil to which is bonded a layer 12 of a suitable adhesive material e.g. silicone rubber. The central portion 13 of the strip adheres to the conduit 7 and parallel side portions 14, 15 are pressed into engagement with the wall. The conduit 7 is removed by peeling off the strips. Clips 17 welded to the wall may engage the conduit to resist accidental displacement, these may be bent back when removing the conduit. A flexible sheet engaging a plurality of sections of the conduit 7 may replace the separate strips.
