679,307. Animal traps. STEYNOR, D. V. June 11, 1951 [June 29, 1950], No. 16329/50. Class 5(i) An animal trap comprises a cage forming a passageway open at both ends, end doors 1, 2 pivoted for angular movement on their own plane, and trigger mechanism for releasing the doors from set open position. The trigger consists of a rod 15 pivoted to a lever 14 upstanding from a bait plate 13 pivoted to one of the base bars of the cage. At the closure point catches 18 snap behind projecting rods 19 and lock the doors. In a modification the upper corner of each door may be bent inwardly to snap behind the top end bar of the cage.
