Abstract

679,071. Furniture joints. EVERTAUT, Ltd. March 29, 1951. [June 12, 1950] No. 14552/50. Class 52 (ii). The invention relates to a joint for a detachable table leg 1. Each side of the table top 6 has a depending skirt 7 formed with an inturned flange 9. In the corner space between the skirts, the top 6 carries a plate 10 having two struck up lugs 12, 13, one adjacent but spaced from each skirt 7. The hollow top of the leg has adjacent reinforced sides 1a which fit between the skirts and the lugs and which are screwed by screws 5 to an angle plate 14 welded to the adjacent skirt flanges 9.
