678,327. Integrating-apparatus. BAILEY METERS & CONTROLS, Ltd. May 18, 1950 [May 20, 1949], No. 12458/50. Class 106 (iv). [Also in Group XXIV] Integrating-apparatus comprises a continuously-rotating motor 20 driving, through reducing gearing 21, 23, 24, the outer member 22 of a slippable magnetic-fluid coupling (see Group XXIV) the inner member 31 of which carries a ratchet-wheel 26 connected to the counting mechanism and co-operating with a detent 30 controlled by a beam 28, one end of which is moved by a cam 25 secured to the member 22 while the other end is positioned in accordance with the value of the variable to be integrated.
