Abstract

677,494. Litters. REICHERT, H. Sept. 27, 1950 [April 14, 1949], No. 23690/50. Class. 108(i) A wheeled stretcher comprises head rails 1, side rails 2 and foot rails 3 connected by hinge pins 6, 7 to enable the stretcher to be collapsed into a Z-shape, spring- pressed hook members 8, 9 engaging complementary recesses in the adjacent rails to maintain the stretcher in the erected position. Wheel-supporting legs 11 are also pivoted to the hinge pins 7 and are erected and retained in their erected position by projections on the upper ends of the legs 11 engaging abutments on the collar 4 carrying the pin 6. A foot-rest 13, a head-rest. 20 and a perambulator-type hood 22 are also provided and the stretcher is propelled by the handle 17.
