Abstract

<PICT:0676728/III/1> A paint applicator comprises a hollow roller mounted for rotation and adapted to contain fluid, the peripheral wall of said hollow roller being formed with a plurality of apertures, a porous fabric sleeve circumscribing the roller and being of greater circumference than the latter to facilitate flow of fluid between the peripheral wall of the roller and the inner surface of said sleeve and means for sealing the extremities of said sleeve with the roller. Referring to Fig. 2, paint is introduced into container A through aperture C closed by cap D and passes out through openings E to the space between the container and its sleeve H and hence through the sleeve when the container is rotated on handle G.
