Abstract

A device for applying paint or the like comprises a rotatably-mounted container upon the peripheral wall of which is arranged a layer of felt or other suitable material for transferring a coat of paint or the like to a surface on which the device is rolled, the said wall of the container being perforated so that the paint or the like <PICT:0672738/III/1> <PICT:0672738/III/2> <PICT:0672738/III/3> can pass out from the interior of the container to the felt or other material. Referring to the drawings, slots 11 are formed in the wall of rotatable container 10 carried by frame 12 with handle 13. Flanged cap 16, Fig. 4, closes the container while felt sleeve 20, in the edge seams of which is incorporated elastic 21, may be pulled over container 10. One or more sleeves may be employed on one container and they may be provided with cut-out or impervious portions so that the device may be used for producing patterns.
