[Also in Group XIII] Finned condenser tubes are made by sliding U-shaped fins 7 on to a straight tube, expanding the tube to fix the fins in position, and then bending the tube through 180 degrees so that the bases 10 of the fins come closely adjacent each other. The fins are made from bent-up sheet-metal blanks.
