672,522. Rotary pumps. MAYUS, E., and SEE, W. G. Aug. 4,1950 [Aug. 19, 1949], No. 19578/50. Class 110(ii) The pump has a central rotor 17 provided with flexible vanes 25, two or more inlets 4, 5; two or more outlets 6, 7 and convex abutments 26, 27 arranged as shown. Manifolds connect up the inlets to a common entry port, and the outlets are similarly arranged. For replacement purposes, an abutment may be removed 'by lateral sliding. The pump body may be constructed of such materials as lead, stainless steel and "Monel" metal (Registered Trade Mark), and the rotor and vanes of neoprene or rubber. Cast-iron and natural rubber, respectively, may be used. The rotor may be driven by an electric motor or a pulley. Diagonal bars may be used to form a grid .across each port, to guide the vane tips.
