Abstract

672,239. Two-part couplings. MOULTON, E. W., and SHARDLOW ELECTRIC WIRES, Ltd. Feb. 13, 1950 [Jan. 12, 1949], No. 875/49. Class 38 (i). A device for suppressing electricalinterference comprises a box-like housing 10 closed at one end and receiving a platform 11 from the lower face of which project live-pins 13 and an earth pin 14. Said pins pass through apertures in the closed end of the housing and are adapted to co-operate with a wall socket. Two sockets 20 are riveted on the upper face of the platform coaxial with the live-pins but insulated therefrom and surrounded by partcircular walls 19. Also carried by the platform are two condensers C, one connected between a socket and the earth pin, and two chokes I one connected between a live-pin and a socket. The earth pin projects through the platform and has a split sleeve 15 therearound held by a circlip 15a and forming an earth socket. A cover 27 having apertures for the pins of a plug connected to apparatus and adapted to co-operate with the sockets 15, 20, closes.the housing and is secured by a screw 31 passing through a sleeve 10a upstanding from the closed end of the housing, the platform and entering a tapped hole in a boss 29 on the cover.
