[Also in Group XXXV] Magnetic and photographic sound records may be combined on the same support by applying a magnetic layer less than 2 microns thick, say 0.3-1 micron, by evaporation in a high vacuum or by cathodic sputtering to one side of a film prior to or after application of the photographic emulsion.
