Class 73 Adhesive strip having fine iron particles incorporated therein is laid on a barshaped magnet which applies it to a support. This ensures that the strip remains flat and does not move. during rapid movements of the magnet in the sticking operation. The iron particles can be incorporated into the paper mass from which the strip is manufactured or the strip may comprise a base strip with adhesive on one face and a coating of lacquer or varnish containing the iron particles on the other face.
