Abstract

<PICT:0670544/III/1> <PICT:0670544/III/2> A soap tablet supporting device comprises a dished member 1 made of plastic material with its under surface of an abrasive nature and having a substantially continuous peripheral wall 7, projecting upwardly for piercing the soap to attach it to the member. Projections, such as the spikes 4, may be provided spaced from the peripheral edge of the device. In a modification, one or more upwardly projecting walls 8, Fig. 5, may be provided spaced from the peripheral edge of the device, with or without teeth or other serrations 9 along the upper edge thereof. One or more slots 6 in the peripheral wall may be provided to facilitate removal of the soap from the device. The abrasive surface may be formed by serrating or otherwise roughening the under surface or by the use of additional means such as sand paper, pumice stone or an abrasive composition, fixed in position by adhesive or inlaid therein.
