Classes 22 and 87(ii) Structural elements are moulded from a mixture of between 4 and 20 per cent by weight of cement and a plastic raw material, e.g. loess, containing at least 70 per cent of silica and between 10 and 20 per cent water, and having a grain size such that at least 60 per cent of the particles range between 20 and 60 microns. The mixture is placed in a mould and pressed and vibrated. The vibration is begun after the pressure has been applied and stopped before the pressure is relieved. The elements may be made more waterproof, either by coating them with a waterrepellent agent after they have been erected in a building or by adding such an agent to the mixture.
