Abstract
A starting fluid for internal combustion engines comprises a major proportion of methylal and a minor proportion of a light lubricating oil. The lubricating oil preferably has an S.A.E. viscosity below 30, for example about 10. From 5-30 per cent, and preferably 10 per cent by volume of oil, based on the methylal, may be used.
