668,023. Vertical pipe-casting machines. ERVEN H. TRIP'S BETONMAATSCHAPPIJ N.V. April 18, 1950. [Aug. 9, 1949] No. 9505/50. Class 87(ii). A pipe is made from a concrete mix not containing any excess of water in a vertical mould comprising a one-part outer form 1 and an inner core 5, the pipe being forced upwardly out of the mould after the core has been removed and before the concrete begins to set. The outer cylindrical part 1 is locked in position on a platform 6. The (rotary) core 5 is provided with a helical pressing plate 4 which compresses the concrete as the core rises in the mould. Immediately after the filling of the mould the pipe 3 is ejected on its pallet 2 by means of a cam 9.
