667,151. Printing-machines. RAS, M. Dec. 9, 1949 [Dec. 13, 1948], No. 31664/49. Class 100 (ii). Inking-apparatus.-An inking duct roller has at least one portion loose on its rotary' spindle, a brake being associated therewith to throttle the ink feed thereover. As shown a duct roller partially immersed in ink in a container 4 has a part 2 fixed to the driven spindle 1 and a part 3 free thereon and coupled by a pin 10 to a ring 9 which may be clamped either to a collar 7 keyed to the spindle 1 or to a fixed boss 8. A scraper blade adjustable by a number of longitudinally spaced screws (not shown) regulates the ink flow over the entire width of the duct roller. A further loose part 3 may be provided at the right-hand end of part 2.
