Abstract

666,422. Clutches. PORSCHE KONSTRUKTIONEN GES. March 30, 1949 [March 15, 1949], No. 8603/49. Addition to 653,328. Class 80 (ii). A sliding dog clutch member 3 of, a changespeed gear has secured thereto by screws 18 a member 11 on which is retained, by flange parts 13, a split synchronising ring 12 which is centered by a flange 16 thereof engaging a groove 17 in the side of the member 3. A lug 14 on the member 11 engages between the ends of the ring 12. The surface of the ring 12 is bevelled to co-operate with the bevelled periphery of the teeth 10 of the mating dog element 1. The Specification as open to inspection under Sec. 91 states that the member 11 may be integral with the member 3, in which case the flange parts 13 are detachable. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
