Abstract

664,946. Foundry plant. METROPOLITANVICKERS ELECTRICAL CO., Ltd. April 24, 1950 [April 26, 1949], No. 11114/49. Class 83 (i). [Also in Group XXX] A moulding arrangement comprises a rollover type moulding-machine and a rollerway conveyer leading to it, wherein the portion of the rollerway adjacent the machine consists of a moving section 2, hinged at 3 to the remainder of the conveyer and normally being in a horizontal position to deliver work to the machine table 4, but being raised to the position shown during the rollover motion of the moulding-machine so as to be out of the way of the machine. The moving section 2 includes a counterweight portion 6 having a projection 7 at one side engageable by a pivoted latch 8 so as to lock the section 2 in a near-vertical position. Latch 8 is operated by a foot plate 10 to release section 2 for lowering to horizontal position, in which it is held by a bolt 11 on the portion 6 engaging a plate 12 on the fixed part of the conveyer.
