Class 20(iii) Doors for large buildings, e.g. hangars, power houses &c. comprise a number of leaves of different heights and supported when in closed position at different height levels. In an installation comprising leaves A<SP>1</SP> .. D on each side of the centre, the two centre doors are higher and narrower than the rest. The doors are guided at the top by the engagement of rollers 5 with the sides of rails 6 depending from canopies 1, 2, and at the bottom by flanged wheels riding on floor rails; a storage pocket 7 may be provided at each side with rows of guides 6 suspended from a frame support and may be closed when all the door leaves are out by a plate secured at right angles to the end leaf D. To support the higher leaves when removed from under their canopy 2a guide 3 is located on the adjacent lower leaf for accommodating rollers carried by brackets 4 at the same level on the higher leaf. In a modification, canopy 2 may be arranged at the same height as canopies 1 but be capable of being raised to provide a larger leaf at a later date. The middle leaf or leaves are supported similarly to the higher leaves when moved from under canopy 2. Two parallel spanning arches may be provided when several of the leaves are required to be of great height; the guides 6 and a supporting structure replacing canopies 1 for the shorter leaves are mounted between the arches. The higher leaves may be placed outside and the shorter inside the building.
