663,515. Antiseptic paper. INTERLAKE TISSUE MILLS CO., Ltd. June 16, 1947, No. 15816/47. Class 96 and 140. Tissue paper, or wax-coated paper, &c. is treated, e.g. by spraying before or after drying in manufacture, with an odourless sterilizing compound, e.g. ortho-hydroxy-phenyl-mercuric chloride, and a hygroscopic substance, e.g. a glycol, glycerol, polyglycol, polyglycerol, sorbitol, or mannitol. There may be one part of ortho - hydroxy - phenyl - mercuric chloride in 50,000 to 200,000 of water and 50 to 5,000 of glycerol. Excess solution may be removed by squeeze rolls and the paper dried at up to 250‹ F.
