Classes 78 (iii) and 78 (iv) A transport box 1 for use with tractors, Fig. 2, has at or near its front end nearest to the tractor, means for pivotal attachment to two links 3, and also means for attachment to a third and upper link 4, the arrangement being such that when the links are raised the box will be raised to carry the load, 'while when the upper link is released the box will be tipped for discharge of its contents. The box has its front end closed, its upper side open, and its rear end closed by a door 2 normally hinged at the bottom to facilitate loading. The door may be formed with a rolled edge both at the top and bottom, or short lengths of tube 25, Fig. 11, and Fig. 15a (not shown), may be welded to the edges, so that a removable hinge pin may be inserted at either the top or bottom of the door as required. The box may be strengthened by encircling bands at the front and rear. The upper link 4 engages the front upper edge of the box 1 by means of a quick release catch, Fig. 4, adapted to be operated by the driver of the tractor so that the box may be released to the tipped position. Fig. 3 (not shown). The link 4 is formed at the end with a knuckle 5 having a pin (i which fits down into shouldered recesses 6a formed at the top front edge of the box. A U-shaped latch 7, having a handle 9 which can be reached from the driving seat, is adapted to releasably engage a lug 8 on the box edge. Figs. 12, 13, show another form of catch having an end member 19 secured to the link 4. The member 10 has a hook portion 19a adapted to engage over the steel tube 20 of the box, Fig. 11, between the brackets 20a. To secure the tube 20 there is provided a closing member 21 on a shank 21a turned by a handle 22 against a spring loaded ball 23 engaging in an aperture 24 in the shank 21a. A further modification, Figs. 5, 7 (not shown), comprises a catch having a U-shaped link 10 adapted to engage over a lip 8a on the front edge of the box, the extended arms of the link passing through tubes 11 each having lugs 12. A pin 13 is inserted laterally through the lugs 12 and is adapted to rest in the shouldered recesses 6a formed as previously described. The other ends of the tubes are joined by a bar 15, and the ends of the arms of the U link are joined by a bar 16. A spring 17 is secured between the bars 15, 16, so that the driver of the tractor may grip the bars in his free hand to force the link 10 away from the ends of the tubes 11 a sufficient distance to be able to engage or disengage the hook 8a.
