660,731. Communicating compartment for railway coaches. LAYCOCK ENGINEERING CO., Ltd. Feb. 16, 1950. [July 14, 1949] No. 18562/49. Class 103(iv). A vestibule diaphragm for railway corridor vehicles having legs formed by longitudinally folded and stitched flexible material connected together by crown and shoulder sections, is provided with U-section metal arch stiffeners 16 secured by rivets externally round the intermediate external stitched edges 12 of the crown and shoulders and the upper part of the legs, further reinforcement being provided by binding strips 15 stitched to the edges 12.
