Abstract

660,495. Wheel tyres. RITSCHER, K. June 1, 1949, No. 14681/49. Class 144 (ii). A detachable tread band for use on rubbertyred tractors and like vehicles comprises shoes having ground-engaging bars connected at their ends to side-guides and held taut across the tyre-tread by chains and springs. In the form shown in Fig. 1, each shoe comprises three spaced cross-bars 5 connected by V-shaped brackets 8, 9, 10 to a base fitted with a lug 6 for attachment to chains slung from the tensioning-springs 4.
