Classes 66 and 125(iii) A closure for bottles, collapsable tubes, cans, and like containers comprises a cap or plug which slidably and rotatably engages either the neck or top of the container or a screwed-on adaptor, in order to bring outlets into and out of register. In two examples a cap b or plug k and an extension a<SP>2</SP> or the container m have outlet apertures b<SP>3</SP> and a<SP>3</SP>, k<SP>3</SP> and m<SP>2</SP> one provided with a pouring spout d, n. Rotation of the cap or plug is restricted by a combination of a peg c, k', and T-shaped slot b<SP>2</SP>, m<SP>1</SP>. Air entry apertures, such as a<SP>4</SP> and b<SP>4</SP>, Fig. 1, and duplicate slots and pegs of wedge shape, such as in Fig. 5, to improve closure, may be provided:
