659,583. Sewing-machines. FAIRWEATHER, W. C. (Singer Manufacturing Co.). Dec. 14, 1949, No. 32071. [Class 112] A feed-dog 30, is driven from a rotary shaft 26, by a feedadvance rock-shaft 62, and teedlift rock-shafts 42, 43. The shaft 43 is oscillated by an. arm 46 connected to an eccentric 48 on the shaft 26 by a pitman 47. The shaft 42 is rocked from the shaft 43 by means of an inclined link 52. The shaft 62 is oscillated by an arm 65 connected to an adjustable eccentric 67 on the shaft 26 by a pitman 66. A rotary loop-taker mounted on a shaft 23 is driven by an internal gear 25 and pinion 24 from the shaft 26. The work arm 15 is of elliptical cross-section and has an end plate 68 carrying a lug 70 for restraining rotation of the bobbin-case and pintles 40, 50, 63 for the rock shafts.
