[Classes 18 and 133] An apertured V-shaped spring plate 40 is enclosed within a pocket of a wallet to spread the pocket open upon release of the closure means. The pocket comprises front and rear walls 12. 14 secured together along the lower and side edges and provided along the side edges with gussets. A closure flap 18. having a fastening element 20 which engages a corresponding element 22 on the front wall 12, is secured to the rear wall and has an extension 24 beneath which the rear arm 46 of the plate 40 engages, the other arm 44 being riveted to the element 22 on the front wall. Besides the pocket formed between the arms of the plate 40, a pocket is also provided between the rear arm 46 of the plate and the rear wall 14.
