The shaft 12 is slidable in the bracket .13 and has a grooved bush 16 engaged by a bell crank lever 17 operated by a drawbar 20 to move the shaft axially and disengage the worm wheel from the worm when the agitator is not required. By turning a knob 36 at the front of the evaporator the agitator may be disconnected at 33 from the plunger and removed. The coupling 33 may comprise a spring which releases the coupling when the mixture stiffens, to prevent damage to the motor, The Provisional Specification states that the tray 9 may be movable and the mixer stationary.
