Abstract

655,990. Tumbler switches. SIMPLEX ELECTRIC CO., Ltd. Dec. 11, 1948. No.' 32086. [Class 38(v)] A slow - break A.C. switch comprises movable resilient contact strips 12 urged into engagement with fixed contacts 15 by springs 14 and forced away therefrom by rollers 28 on the dolly arm 25 engaging inclines 30 pressed out on the strips 12. A spring 35 acting between a hemispherical member 34 and a forked link 31 engaging the pivot 27 of the rollers imparts a positive action. In a modification the moving contacts comprise bridging members urged towards pairs of fixed contacts by springs situated at either end.
