Abstract

652,946. Cow's teat protector. BROWN F. E., and MARTIN, P. Aug. 3, 1948, Nos. 20495/48 and 14294/49. [Class 5(i)] A protective sheath for a cow's udder consists of a bulbous portion A, in which the teat has some degree of freedom, merging without thickening into a cylindrical neck B beaded at the open end D. Sheaths for non-milkers may be supplied with adhesive E covered with a strip G until required for use, the coated end being then rolled over the teat by tabs H. Gaps F in the adhesive permit of stretching the neck during application. The neck may be stiffened with ribs or crimps. Holes L are provided for venting air.
