Abstract

652,124. Trailers. MINNS, F. H. July 19, 1948, No. 19367. [Class 108(i)] A trailer comprises a drop-down !tailboard and top cover unit F, H, which is pivotally connected at G to the chassis structure so that it can be swung to an open position where it can be used as ground coverage, a hood O being carried by hoops L which open out when the tailboard and cover unit is swung outwards. The members F, H may be rigidly connected; as shown, or may be pivotally connected at J to provide for inequalities of ground level. Tipping is prevented by a jack Q on the tow bar A, which may be supplemented by additional jacks or stays at the rear.
