Abstract

Ores are concentrated by subjecting them to froth flotation in the presence of a promoter having as an essential promoting constituent a reaction product of a glycol chloroformate with at least one and not more than two mols of an alkali metal alkyl xanthate. Ores treated include copper, zinc and lead ores and gold-bearing pyrites. Specifications 275,561, 284,198, [both in Class 82 (ii)], and 650,493, [Group IV (b)], are referred to.
