649,804. Loose-leaf binders. HILTON'S OFFICE APPLIANCES, Ltd., and HUDSON, R. Nov. 26, 1948, No. 30674. [Class 146 (i)] In a fitment for a loose-leaf binder having parallel filing pins or posts A, A<SP>1</SP> which are mounted so as to be slidable in relation to each other so as to register with filing holes of differing pitch, the posts A, A<SP>1</SP> are carried by rigid strips B, B<SP>1</SP> lying in the same plane and slidable longitudinally in a guide member C, each strip B, Bl having a longitudinal slot b near the inner end extending from the edge to beyond the longitudinal centre line, the end b<SP>1</SP> of each strip B, B<SP>1</SP> being narrower than the strip and lying in the slot b of the other strip. The dotted line position of the strip B<SP>1</SP> and post A<SP>1</SP> shows the maximum distance apart of the posts, the fitment being intended for use with papers having filing holes the spacing of which corresponds either to the maximum or to the minimum distances apart of the posts A, A<SP>1</SP>.
