Abstract

649,541. Readily divisible multiple containers. STEPHENSON, N. Jan. 16, 1948, No. 1444. [Classes 18 and 66] A one-piece moulded plastic package 1 for tablets &c. can be divided into separate tubular containers 2 by cutting or tearing continuous or discontinuous webs 4 integrally connecting them. Each web 4 may extend a substantial distance along relatively thick and rigid walls of adjacent containers. It may be thinner at its middle than where it joins the walls or vice versa and may be perforated or scored or have notches at its free ends to facilitate bending and tearing or cutting. The open ends of each container may be closed by a stopper 3 or a screw cap. According to the Provisional Specification the containers may be collapsable.
