649,066. Coated fabrics. YOXON, M., [Representative of YOXON, H.]. Oct. 1, 1948, No. 25664. [Class 140] A staying strip for the corners of cardboard boxes comprises a backing having a longitudinally extending zone 8 (preferably central or substantially so) which is free from adhesive or glue, and is bounded on either side by margins 7 having adhesive or glue applied thereto, the arrangement being such that the strip presents outer stiffened margins separated by a resilient central zone. The strip may be manufactured by applying a series of separated bands of adhesive to a sheet, which may be kraft paper, and slitting the sheet on lines which divide the bands.
