[Class 44] [Also in Group VII] One or more fastenings each comprising a series of curved links 1, 2 pivoted together end to end and attached at their extremities to the opposite sides of a shoe or boot opening are provided to hold the opening closed in their folded position as shown, and open on their expanded position. The links 1, 2 are preferably flanged at their sides and the extremities are attached, by means such as screws or dropnose pins passed through eyelet holes in the opposite sides of the shoe opening, to plates 3, and which extend some distance along the sides of the shoe. Several holes 4 are made in these plates for purposes of adjustment.
