645,780. Arm rests. WETTLAUFER, E. G. Sept. 10, 1948, No. 23824. [Classes 52 (i), 52 (ii) and 52 (iv)] An arm rest for an automobile door panel consists of a hollow moulded shell 1 to the open top of which is secured a plate 30 having a sponge rubber upholstery pad 32 bonded thereto. The pad is covered by fabric secured by bonding or by a trim strip in a recess around the shell. The attachment screws 38, 19 for the plate and arm rest are concealed in recesses moulded in the shell and the latter is shaped to serve also as a door-pull.
