645,311. Golf-balls. DUNLOP RUBBER CO., Ltd. May 27, 1948, No. 14287. Convention date, May 27, 1947. [Class 132 (ii)] A method of producing a liquid-filled centre for a golf-ball comprises injecting a liquid such as a dispersion of barium sulphate in water or a saturated aqueous solution of barium chloride into a spherical rubber or like resilient container under pressure to tension the container so that it is sufficiently rigid to permit of machine winding with rubber thread, a self-sealing insert of non-vulcanizible rubber being provided in the container wall for injection of the liquid from a hypodermic needle.
