[Class 81(i)] A heating plate for a steam bath of the type in which steam is produced by directing water over heated. stones which are placed on a heating plate comprises a discshaped central piece 4 surrounded by one or more concentric annular pieces 1, 2, 3, the upper surfaces of one or more of the annular pieces being concave to form one or more gutters. The under surfaces of the pieces may have projecting portions 6, preferably opposite the middle of the bottom of each gutter. The parts may be made of cast iron or may be metal stampings. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also a modification in which the central portion and the annular pieces of the hot plate are provided with radial gaps, the plate being electrically heated by heating elements placed in grooves formed in the under surface of the pieces and protected from water by means of plates. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
