Abstract

In a system for detecting the presence of a particular gas depending on the differential expansion of gas in two chambers m, n separated by a diaphragm j when heated by radiation passing respectively through a standard tube and a tube containing the gas under test, instead of, or in addition to, using the gas for which the test is made in the chambers m, n <PICT:0642750/III/1> solid material is provided in films p to absorb the radiation.
