[Class 100 (ii)] A master sheet which can be used in either the gelatine or mirror-script process comprises a sheet of paper folded along one or more transverse lines, thereby forming panels, the outer sides of which are suitable for typing, one or more of the panels having a hectograph transfer coating leaving an uncoated margin at the top or bottom. As shown in Fig. 1, a sheet is folded along perforations 12 to form panels 10, 11, the inside surface 10a of the panel 10 having a hectograph coating so that by typing on the panel 10 a copy is formed on the panel 11 for transfer to gelatine, and by typing on the panel 11 a mirror-script copy is formed; the coating terminates short of the top and bottom of the panel 10. A sheet of protective material 13 such as oil or wax tissue paper is placed between the panels and is gummed at one edge or held by wire stitching so as to be readily removable before typing. The three sheets may be stapled together at 14, perforations 15 being formed in the panels 10, 11 to form a tab which can be torn out bringing the sheet 13 away with it. In modifications: (1) one panel is shorter than the other and instructions are printed on the projecting part, Fig. 9 (not shown); (2) a sheet is folded into a W and the coating covers two panels whose inside surfaces face each other, a protective sheet being unnecessary, Fig. 12 (not shown); (3) a coated sheet and a record sheet are folded fan-fold fashion, the projecting ends being pulled outwardly and fed around a typewriter platen, Fig. 14 (not shown); and (4) a sheet 30, Fig. 17, is folded into four panels 301 ... 30<SP>4</SP>, two of which are coated on the inside. In use, 30<SP>1</SP> is opened out as shown and closed with 30<SP>1</SP> outside 30<SP>3</SP>, whereby on typing on 301 or 302 the panels 30<SP>3</SP> and 30<SP>4</SP> are formed into master sheets.
