Abstract

641,233. Collapsable containers. BICKLE, H. M. Jan. 30, 1947, No. 2888. [Class 66] A transversely corrugated, axially collapsable container has a nozzle 12 through which the contents are extruded at a point offset from the axis of the container e.g. outside an imaginary extension of the body 10. The discharge end of the nozzle 12 may point downwardly. The corrugations 14 may extend outwardly of the tube from which they are formed and may lie on arcs of circles centred, as shown at 16, on or just within that tube. The head 11 may be integral with the body. The nozzle 12 may be secured either in a hole in the head 11, or to an axial neck thereon or may be integral with the head. The base 13 may be separate and secured to the body so as to provide a flat support e.g. a flange 21. The head 11 and base 13 may be upwardly domed so as to nest together. Immediately above the top corrugation, the body may be strengthened. A spring-loaded valve may be fitted in the nozzle 12. Specification 641,270 is referred to.
