Abstract

A curved or arcuate shaped nozzle to be connected to a sealant cartridge for accessing areas difficult to reach. Preferably, the nozzle is made of a plastics material, although it is possible that metal, or wood variants may be made. The adaptor has a standard conventional screw thread by which it is attached to the sealant cartridge.

SEALANT CARTRIDGE ADAPTOR
This invention relates to an adaptor for use with sealant cartridges.
Sealant cartridges are typically used by building professionals e.g. plumbers and joiners, in applying adhesive/sealant to window frames, guttering, baths, toilets and wash basins etc. The purpose of this nozzle is to apply the sealant in a more controlled manner.
Sealant cartridges are currently sold with a uniform nozzle which is simply as straight extension and this design makes it difficult to apply the sealant in certain confined spaces and around obstacles.
An object of this invention is to provide an extension to the sealant cartridge that allows easy access to areas that are difficult to reach with the conventional straight nozzle.
Accordingly, this invention provides a shaped nozzle to be connected to the sealant cartridge, so that awkward areas that require sealant can be reached with relative ease.
Preferably, the nozzle is made of a plastics material, although it is possible that metal, or wood variants may be made.
The adaptor has a standard conventional thread by which it is attached to the sealant cartridge and will be able in various sizes to suit the different cartridge sizes.
A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing, in which Figure 1 shows the shaped Sealant Cartridge Adaptor comprising the moulded piece of plastic and the conventional thread (1) by which the nozzle will be attached to the sealant cartridge.

Claims (4)

1. A shaped nozzle to be connected to the sealant cartridge.
2. A shaped nozzle, as claimed in Claim 1, which is attached to the main sealant cartridge by a standard conventional thread.
3. A shaped nozzle as claimed in Claim 1 or Claim 2 which is made from plastics, metal or wood, or from a combination of these materials.
4. A shaped nozzle substantially as herin described and illustrated in the accompanying drawing.
