Abstract

640,816. Cots. HOSKINS & SON, Ltd., and LLOYD, W. A. S. Sept. 6, 1948, No. 23380. [Class 52 (ii)] A drop-side cot is provided below its mattress frame a with a pair of transverse guides b in which are slidable a pair of rollers g carried by the lower edge of the movable side c so that such side is stowable beneath the mattress frame a. The cot frame is provided with claws j in which are engaged projections on the upper edge of the side c and swive catches k are mounted on the movable side to engage below the side member m of the mattress frame a when the movable side c is in its service position. When both the sides are movable two pairs of transverse guides b, which are of channel shape in cross section, are provided adjacent to each other. The ends of the channel guides are upwardly turned and bent over as at f to prevent inadvertent complete removal of the side or sides c.
