640,562. Bearings. SPERRY GYROSCOPE CO., Inc. Aug. 1, 1946, No. 23035. Convention date, Aug. 1, 1945. [Class 12 (i)] [Also in Groups XX, XXXV and XXXVI] Two relatively movable parts 11, 13 of a gyroscope are pivoted about a trunnion 12 screwed into the one part 11 and located in bearings 37 mounted in the other part. At least one race of the bearings is truly cylindrical and end thrust is taken up by a wire filament 38 passing through the hollow trunnion 12 and secured at one end to a plug 40 and at the other to a tension plate 39.
