[Class 29] In a refrigerator cabinet having an outer shell 10 and a lining 11, a horizontally disposed cold producer 15 dividing the cabinet and supported at the rear of the cabinet has its front edge supported by a bar or strip 18 the ends of which are secured to blocks 20, 21 bridging the shell and lining, the latter being apertured at 22, 23 to receive the strip. Alternatively the ends of the strip 18 may be bent, the ends resting in depressions in the edge of the lining 11 and being secured to the blocks 20, 21. The strip 18 may be of substantially the same height as the element 15 and support also the hinges of doors closing the upper part of the cabinet. The supporting points may be along the upper section of the frame, in which case the supporting member consists of a suspension arrangement.
