637,533. Moulds for concrete blocks. NORTHROP, J. K., and REED, B. G. July 22, 1947, No. 19650. [Class 87 (ii)] [Also in Group X] A mould for concrete blocks having outer layers 9, 18 of dense concrete and an inner layer 14 of light porous concrete is of plywood 1 and may have removable end forms 11 to form a groove in the layer 14 or permanent end forms 12 to act as window casings. The layers are poured serially before the previous one has fully set to ensure bonding between them. Corner blocks can be made similarly by turning the mould 90‹ after the concrete has partly set.
