636,186. Thread tensioning arrangements. TURCOTTE, J., and UNION SCREEN PLATE CO. OF CANADA, Ltd. Nov. 22, 1946, No. 34777. [Class 120 (ii)] A thread tensioning device having a plurality of contact bars arranged 'in rows has surface clips detachably clamped on to the bars to act as wear members which may be replaced when they become cut by the thread. A gate tension device has its contact surfaces covered by clips 13, which have side flanges to clamp on to the bars 11. The clips 13 have recesses formed on their underside which engage with bosses on the bars.
