Abstract

531,700. Packing. VICARS, Ltd., T. & T., and CROSLAND. E. M. July 29, 1939, No. 22051. [Class 94 (i)] A device for conveying biscuits, or other flat articles, between guides along a packing table comprises an endless web 1, Fig. 2, which is turned at intervals out of its normal path into loops, and bridge pieces or slippers 5 fitted into the gaps to allow the biscuits to slide across, guide bars 6 being mounted on the slippers. The web 1 may consist of wire coils, and it is looped at intervals over rollers 2, 3, 4. The guide bars 6 fit on to projections 8, Fig. 4, on the slippers 5 which are integral with, or secured to, blocks 12. Bushes 13 which screw into the blocks 12 can be rotated by a key bar 14 to adjust the distance between the guide bars 6.
