633,315. Glazing bars. GREEN, S. N., WILLIAMS, E. H., and HEATON, J. Feb. 24, 1948, No. 5381. [Class 20 (iii)] A glazing bar 1 of wood, metal, plastic or concrete reinforced by horizontal rods, to be used for greenhouses, &c., has a central rib 3 with grooves 6 on either side and ledges 4 supporting panes of glass 5. The. latter are held in position by rods 7 passing transversely through the rib 3 and resilient wedges 8, stretched beneath said rods, which on release expand to hold the panes 5 in position. Reinforcement is provided, in a concrete bar by a horizontal rod 9, with a wire or wires 11 extending through the concrete around the rods 9, 7. When required for a double glass wall the glazing bar has, in addition, a rib, rod and wedges corresponding to the first set, but on the opposite side of the bar.
